Celebrating Dr. DeKruyter
"I am the resurrection and the life. He that believes in me, even though he dies, yet shall he live" (John 11:25)
Over the course of a ministry spanning more than six decades, Dr. DeKruyter preached God's Word with renowned faithfulness and passion, pastored people with immense energy, imagination, and love, and dedicated his remarkable leadership gifts to advancing the kingdom of God through numerous Christian educational and mission organizations.
Through his television, radio, and publishing ministry, Dr. DeKruyter's messages touched hundreds of thousands of persons throughout Chicagoland and beyond. His legacy continues to be felt in the many lives and institutions God used him to shape for the better and in the example he set as a husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
We rejoice that Dr. DeKruyter is at home with his Lord, but will miss his warm, wise witness greatly. Please do continue to hold his family in your heart and prayers -- especially his daughter Lucette and son-in-law Thomas Bamford, his grandsons Tab (Kristin) and Arthur, and his great-grandchildren, Matt and Bobby.
Cards and letters will be appreciated, but it would be good to refrain from phoning or going to the family home at the present time. Opportunities to express immediate care are available in the following ways:
Tuesday, January 18, 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. and at 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Dr. DeKruyter's casket will be present in the evening for those who wish to come pay their respects.
