Easter At Christ Church

Lent Series: Giving Up

Saturday, March 4 - Sunday 16

Ash Wednesday
As we begin the Lenten season together, join us for one of the following opportunities to worship and join with the tradition of the church to receive the imposition of ashes:

7:00 am and noon | Self guided reflection and the imposition of ashes (Garden Plaza)

7:00 pm | Ash Wednesday worship (a full hour of worship, families are welcome) Fellowship Hall

5:30 pm | Grab and Go sandwiches, beverages and snacks will be available for those who are short on time and need a quick meal or cup of coffee before worship begins. Join us in the Commons where we will have food as well as small coloring projects and space for homework.

Lenten Series: Giving Up
Throughout history, Christians have marked the season of Lent with acts of reflection, prayer, and self-denial. Join us as we stand in that tradition and explore "giving up" the postures, attitudes, and agendas that keep us from loving God and loving others. What might it look like if we gave up our fear, personal agendas, our need to be right, or resentment? Would we find ourselves freer, better able to love and better able to serve? We will explore these challenging and life-changing questions together during the six-week journey through Lent.
