As members of the body of Christ, we long for Christ Church of Oak Brook to be known as a place where people encounter the living God of the Bible. That it would be a place that encourages growth in character and community, and a place through which people are blessed, whether they be around the corner or around the world.
This year, we have:
- Sent hundreds of people to serve on neighborhood projects and global outreach teams,
- Committed $1.7 million dollars to extend the love of Christ through disaster relief efforts and mission partnerships around the world,
- Maintained the aesthetics of our beautiful structure to like-new standards, and
- Reduced our debt load to the lowest point in our 40 year history.

Each succeeding generation stands on the shoulders of the giants who have walked before. In a Christian context, we see this truth underscored by the writer of Hebrews in his enumeration of the pioneers of the faith. And so down through countless generations.
- Martin Luther
- St. Thomas Aquinas
- John Bunyan
- tally of people committed to a daily walk in the footsteps of a humble Jewish carpenter who was very God and very man.
Indeed, we need not look far to find definitive examples of those much closer to home who have applied this truth to our very own church. God-fearing men and women who, led and encouraged by the Spirit, stepped out in faith to build Christ Church of Oak Brook.
It is this legacy of building upon the contributions of earlier generations that motivates us to reflect on the Spirit's movement on our own hearts.
- Where are there needs?
- How can we meet them?
- What can we give of our own time, talents, and treasure?
- What will we continue to contribute personally to Christ's Great Commission?
In short, how will we assist in advancing the Good News to a watching world through all generations?
In this special web site, we have outlined the critical importance of a sound infrastructure in meeting today's challenges, one that supports the ministries of worship and spiritual formation - especially of younger families. These ministries are essential to being a culture-shaping influence in our region and beyond. We invite you to prayerfully explore this site, and open yourself to the Spirit that is leading us as we consider our response to be faithful Through All Generations.
