Frequently Asked Questions

What is a tithe?

The Bible teaches that tithing is 10% of a person's gross income. But almost half of all regular attenders give nothing. If everyone gave just 3% to 4% of their family’s income, the impact Christ Church could double. If you’re considering committing to the church and giving on a regular basis, start small and work your way up. If you’re already tithing, thank you for your consistent giving and continue to see how God honors your faithfulness.

How much am I expected to give?

Giving is a personal choice, but we do know that God has called each of us to give.  Since everything comes from God, everything we own belongs to God.  Your donations help people all over the world grow in discipleship, learn the message of hope, and do justice.  Will you help?  God loves a cheerful giver, but as we grow closer to Christ, we start to understand how giving can make us cheerful.

Where does my giving go?

Christ Church relies on the generous giving of members and regular attenders to support all the ministries at the church. For the next two years (November 26, 2016 through December 31, 2018), your giving will go toward the Take Root initiative. Visit to learn more.

If I give online, is my giving secure?

Absolutely. We work with a partner that gives us secure, encrypted database so your personal information is as safe with us as it is with your bank.

Will I receive printed statements?

Yes. Christ Church will send out printed statements to all donors at the end of the year. Beginning in 2017, you will receive statements on a quarterly basis. You can go to the My Account button on the homepage of the website to check your giving account and commitment balance. This is your account information, available to you anytime.
